Empowering Everyone

California’s community colleges are designed around the remarkable idea that higher education should be available to everyone. As such, we are committed to ensuring equal access to instructional materials and technology for students of all abilities.

To assist and accelerate this process, the California Community College (CCC) system has adopted a new Accessibility Standard and will be supporting districts in their accessibility efforts. Activities will include developing guidance, providing training, coordinating system-wide activities, serving as a resource to address challenges, and maintaining communication with relevant parties.

Letter from the Chancellor

Ensuring educational accessibility is foundational to my vision of creating an equitable system of higher education and is a critical piece of student success and degree completion... I am fully committed to extending the benefits of universal access throughout the system and providing all students an equitable higher education.
