This technical presentation from the 2017 CISOA conference is a case study of how College of Marin addressed Office 365 implementation challenges using in-house tools. Using .NET, technicians sourced user identities from Ellucian/Banner (authoritative source) into Active Directory and then processed the data with PowerShell scripting onto the Office365 platform. From this integration, the institution gains quick O365 account provisioning, mitigates errors, and limits labor. From CCCApply to O365, a student account is provisioned in under one hour.
